African Lifestyle is a weekly TV show aired in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and other nearby states which features the nuances of the “African” lifestyle, history and culture of the African nations.  African Lifestyle serves the large African immigrant communities, African-Americans interested in their cultural heritage and the American population interested in African culture. 

The program, co-hosted by Esther Araba Dadson and Christina Agyarko Collins, features unique programming which covers current issues and interviews with prominent guests - contributing members of various local African communities, including government representatives, cultural leaders, celebrities and newsmakers.  The show also features entertainment segments related to music, dance, drama and movies.

The program has featured distinguished guests including the Ambassadors of Algeria, Cape Verde, Republic of Congo, Ghana and Sierra Leone; Jim Iyke and Desmond Elliott, superstars of the Nigerian film industry (Nollywood); Freddy Adu, the young Ghanaian soccer player with D.C. United Major League Soccer team and several international African and Caribbean artists such as Alpha Blondy, Jimmy Cliff, Diams, Youssou N’ Dour and Makoma to name a few.   

African Lifestyle airs Saturday from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. on ION TV and reaches approximately 1.1 million viewers throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and parts of West Virginia.
